Data subjects therefore remain in control of their own data and choose if and when to use it. If the person chooses to use it for an advance check and facilitated travel, they can submit it, via the application developed and operated by eu-LISA, to the responsible authorities." No mobile Google/Apple device w/ Play/Apple account? Sorry, you're out… 1/2 |
Föderation EN Di 07.01.2025 19:33:57 @edri 2/2 so not only does this discriminate against those not having a mobile device, or used their choice of running it "tracking free" with a custom ROM and no "store account" – it REQUIRES those using the app to have an account with a US company tracking them via their services. Objections? Oh, you have something to hide? => stigmatized. Suspect because of valuing your privacy. And enforcing us to give our data to an US company, outside GDPR directive. Again, violating their own laws.¹ |
Föderation EN Di 07.01.2025 19:35:51 @edri ¹ because we can bet it won't be a FOSS app available freely, not being bound to either the Apple Store or the Google Play Store (not that that would solve the problem entirely). |
