An ideal post for Valentine's Day? Sweetheart Abbey south of Dumfries, founded by Lady Devorgilla in 1273 in loving memory of her husband, John Balliol. In a rather gruesome twist, she carried his embalmed heart around in an ivory box. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/new
