Port Ellen on Islay. The image shows a quayside in the foreground with two small fishing boats moored at it and a line of vans and cars parked on it, end-on to the sea. In the background is a village of brown stone and white houses and a war memorial. Beyond that is a rocky hillside. The scene is in sunlight.
