Social identification is private, between people though ephemeral #P2P #E2EE messages. Servers see messages with random sender and recipient addresses, but those can not be mapped to a phone number or public handle. Servers see IP addresses. But you can use Tor, or a VPN, if you want to hide that. It' not all bad :) |

Föderation EN Mi 14.01.2026 01:34:08 @delta i have an issue but i don't know if it's normal. i created an account on a laptop, and logged with my phone trough QR, but my desktop (i logged trough backup), don't seem to take in things like contact that add picture etc, when both mobile and laptop do. did i miss a settings ? |

Like public online community chats like irc or matrix does not seem to be in scope if I understand it correctly? (hence no public delta chat group exists, I assume?) |
