I bought a new "smart" TV because other TVs aren't available anymore. It has a network port which stays in virginity. My mom want's to watch Netflix, which would be possible with the TV alone, but I installed a FireTV Stick in a separate VLAN and DNSBL. This enshittificated TVs and the FireTV Stick may not be the best solution but it's the best I can get without much advertising.

The TV shows nice landscape pictures when no program is on, but I think if I would update it (which can't be done without network) it would go the same route some day.
