might be making a tiny script to migrate all my github repos to codeberg since it seems this has not yet been automated and i have way too many harebrained schemes to transfer by hand. plz lmk if i'm missing someone's script to do this already otherwise i'll post my script

rewriting something in rust that wasn't previously in rust is not a way to make things faster or more cryptographically secure and will in fact introduce bugs just like every other rewrite process in the history of the world unless every single programmer also knows rust equally well to the previous language. especially if the slowness was in the GUI or network rust cannot help you, and if the insecurity is in the protocol then rust won't fix that either. i think we should publicly shame orgs who do this https://mastodon.matrix.org/@element/113168834706551846

been using @pachli for the past few weeks and like it a lot. the timeline hysteresis works exactly as advertised!!! and the modal for toot composition is super cute. i do wish that there was a button to advance the timeline to newest tweets with a single click, though; i currently have to press the timeline button repeatedly to advance it (which is good behavior that i want to keep, but i also want a way to go all the way to new posts)
