I’ve been running some #mastodon caching experiments and wouldn’t mind some #sysadmin feedback for #mastodon.
The (kind of notorious) “remote content cache" setting had one use case that seemed useful: Clearing out a massive amount of database content after making the common newbie mistake of connecting relays to a new solo instance. I spun up an instance and watched the database and media explode in size compared to a normal solo-instance following a few accounts.

When you checkout TruthSocial almost every ad is from the EpochTimes, which is the propaganda wing of a cult (Falun Gong) which funds itself from that weird Chinese touring drum show (Shen Yun)
So people are innocently going to a show and unintentionally helping a cult to get their preferred president elected.
