Föderation EN Mo 03.02.2025 13:48:14 @shalien GitLab needs a lot of ressources and Gitea / Forgejo can even run on a Raspberry Pi. Forgejo additionally only uses FOSS for the development process. See: https://forgejo.org/ |
Föderation EN Mo 03.02.2025 13:54:23 @shalien IMHO an advantage of @forgejo is that @fedora is going to use it: https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/fedora-chooses-forgejo/ |
Föderation EN Mo 03.02.2025 18:16:13 @shalien Without going into details about #OpenCore and license cost, governance and community, you might want to take a look at https://forgejo.org/compare/ for an early overview. Föderation EN Di 04.02.2025 09:25:25 @Codeberg I remember seeing that page but was unable to find it until you posted it . All the point listed are what make me uneasy with Gitlab / Github. I have setup a forgejo isntance and migrated my project. I had the pleasure to see that the #gitea plugin for #intellij work well with the current #forgejo version. Will finish my setup today and start tinkering around. |
