@danielquinn @jay_peper yes, but this framing sucks because it implies that the money going in is coming from the people moving around. The same thing is true for roads-- money goes in and people (and things) move around. But in that case the money isn't directly coming from the moving people, it's coming from the general public. The general public benefits from the existence of roads even if they don't drive on them personally. The general public also benefits from *other* people using transit.
