@JulianOliver I get the sentiment here. Due to hype, the term is used so widely that it's lost its meaning. But it's still ultimately better that most of these are based on simple cheap processes rather than the power hungry trained-on-stolen-data large models.

@JulianOliver My favorite were Computer Ai Case. It's "Ai" because you can do Ai on components that you put inside. I think it was on CES where Der8auer rolled his eyes hard on gems like this lol

@JulianOliver Yeah, happened with cloud too. These hype cycles are so tiresome, but worse they divert so much money from meaningful projects, especially when they parade themselves around as open-source, or privacy concerned, etc as long as its convenient.

@JulianOliver "Artificial intelligence" means nothing more than "using computers to automatically perform tasks for which humans need their intelligence". The word was coined in the days when huge machines built out of individual transistors were colloquially known as electronic brains.

@JulianOliver You forgot any scams where AI is usually added as a decoration to make the guys with the chequebooks volunteer more money.
