Favorite photo from Chicago a few yrs ago. Had recently purchased a Nikon 40mm macro lens which is also an excellent street lens. This trip I decided to restrict myself to the the 40mm only. It was a great challenge and I learned a lot👍.

Closeup photograph of a western honeybee hanging from a purple flower attached to a long stiff but drooping stem with out of focus purples, blues, and greens in the background. I was not able to ID the flower but based on its shaped it's likely in the Ranunculus family. The flowers are at the end of stalks that droop under the flower's weight. Each flower has five light purple pointed petals that radiate from a center filled with white stamens with yellow anthers.
