ShrimpNET is an in development software with Mastodon API compatability and support for a Misskey-style frontend, implemented from the ground up with the goal of being a fully compliant ActivityPub implementation.

If you'd like to test it out, you can request invites from me. Multiple frontends are available (and anything compatible with Mastodon will work). Officially we have a Chuckya-FE at https://mastodon.plasmatrap.net.

Not everything is done yet and the default frontend, while usable, is not perfect yet. But it's a nice alternative platform overall :neocat:
It runs on the same infrastructure as Plasmatrap itself does, so the same uptime and resilience guarantees apply.
