@monorail i wish I could do this! sadly with @mastohost I'm pretty sure I don't have direct access to my database (I assume because it's a shared db)

has anyone built a tool for indexing and searching your own Mastodon posts? some notes:

a) I mostly just want to search my own posts, maybe also people's replies to me
b) I'm aware of (and sometimes use) mastodon's elasticsearch support, but it only returns 40 results at a time and I'd like to be able to get all results instantly
c) imagining something that uses SQLite full text search or something
d) might also extend it to index / search my other social media posts

i've heard about POSSE for a long time but never understood how people implement it exactly. Really appreciate that @molly0xfff's post about POSSE includes a link to the source for her microblog's implementation

have any of you switched from using Tailwind to regular CSS? was there anything that helped you make the switch? was it tools like sass? a really good guide to structuring your css? I want to know!

I ask because I'm getting a little tired of Tailwind but I still have a hard time with normal CSS

(please only reply if you yourself have switched your allegiances from Tailwind to vanilla CSS)

now that the Git zine is done, I've been thinking about ways to celebrate! Thinking of writing a few quick "bonus" pages about topics that we couldn't fit in the zine, maybe about more obscure git features

what would you call a git commit that can no longer be reached from any branch or reference (for example because you ran `git commit --amend` or `git rebase`), but that you can still get to from `git reflog`?

I've considered "orphan", "dangling", and "unreachable" but none of these seem right:
- orphan has another meaning in git
- dangling only refers to the "tip" commits
- "unreachable" means that you can't reach it at all

would love a term that's already used, I don't like inventing terms
