I am happy to announce that I am now an Official @Vivaldi Ambassador.

Vivaldi is the best browser for privacy and security in this every changing digital age. "Powerful. Personal. Private."

Have more questions. Let me know. If I don't have answers, I find them and get back.

@beardedtechguy Whoa, congrats to you sir! How did you manage to accomplish this? Where do I sign up?

As an ambassador do you also take on complaints?

It's my favorite chromium browser but it keeps giving me push notifications in my tablet to set it as my default.

I use it a lot but being the default is simply not it's job and it's making me seriously consider taking away notification permissions completely which would make it pretty useless for my purposes :/

@ABT554 @Vivaldi Hey bud. Which tablet are you using? Android or Apple?

Föderation EN Fr 19.04.2024 23:06:17

@beardedtechguy @Vivaldi

I'm using an android tablet.

It's a Samsung Tab S9+ to be precise.

It wouldn't be a problem if it only asked me once but it's plagued by the same sickness that plagues a lot of SV Tech where for some reason they think the opposite of "yes" is "ask me later".

@ABT554 @Vivaldi There should be a switch under settings > set as default browser. Make sure that is turned off. You shouldnโ€™t get any notifications moving forward if that is turned off.

Let me know!

@Vivaldi

It already is off but after the second time it seems to have stopped bothering me about it ^^โ€˜

Sorry btw, that I immediately bothered you with that. It was just the perfect timing of me having the notification a second time shortly before seeing your post ^^'

@beardedtechguy @Vivaldi I have a question. What won't Vivaldi work on Chromebooks? (Yes, I know, CHROMEbook.) But I seriously hate Chrome and pretty much all things Google, so I am trying to move 700 years worth of stuff (Photos, drive documents, blog posts, the entire 9 years of my son's life) away from Google. Problem is my Windows laptop got in a fight with my bulldog and lost and so I am using my husband's old *gag* Chromebook. I almost cried when I couldn't get Vivaldi to work there. Is there really a thing with your updated version just not getting along with Chrome?
