@Gargron too difficult to understand and use, no people they're interested in following (e.g., minecraft youtubers) or they can't find them, overall hard to discover stuff, also pretty serious attitude on here and bad rep of mastodon community (which to put it lightly, didn't meet the two waves of newcomers with a lot of enthusiasm). Lots of reasons, many of them I think are pretty valid
