@UnderTheDome@troet.cafe Yes, the design is great on #Sharkey and it offers some of the features that I really miss on #Mastodon. You can structure the content much better i.e. with antennas (create topic-specific timelines by keywords) and clips (sort bookmarks into categories), it has more options for polls and much more.
I also like to use #Friendica with @caos@anonsys.net : this has other advantages, such as a great thread view, group functions and greater reach.
@_elena@mastodon.social has also explored it and wrote about it in her blog.

@linuxer@techhub.social Teils -teils, also einen Teil kann Mastodon zumindest "passiv" nutzen: die meisten Formatierungen werden inzwischen angezeigt, längere Umfragen auch und an Gruppen teilnehmen kann man mit Mastodon auch.
Aber ich fand es mit Mastodon auch von Anfang an ziemlich unübersichtlich, weil die Beiträge so durcheinander und ohne Kontext in der Timeline sind.
Der Umzug von Mastodon nach Sharkey war aber wirklich problemlos. Ich habe mich an dieser Anleitung orientiert : How to Move from Mastodon to Firefish. Die bezieht sich zwar auf Firefish, das ist aber fast identisch mit Sharkey.

@linuxer@techhub.social Diese Vorteile sind in erster Linie "Ich Bezogen" auf der eigenen Instanz, weil eben diese Software mehr kann und mehr erlaubt.
Die user mit Mastodon sind eher passive Mitnutzer.

Another great feature is the CloudDrive per user.
Files of all kinds can be stored and sorted into folders and used again and again
And much more besides.
