Yeah so, #RCS coming to #iOS is neat and cute and all.

But if there is no way to tell whether RCS/SMS folks have the encrypted extension installed, this is all for naught.

Because the garbage companies and carriers pushing it **do not want it to be encrypted.**

I have a friend who says that they frequently see threads here on #Mastodon that have ghost replies.

As in: they click on the original post, and it looks like a person is having a conversation with themselves. But if they open that thread in a different app, it lists all the replies.

Has anyone else seen this? Know what’s up?
