Just posted on the former bird site that from now on, I will only be posting my #maker and #Robotics content on here. It will be nice to just have one place to build a maker presence online again, and hopefully see the last of the endless follows from the likes of Suzy-6-digits 'link in bio'. I already make monthly donations to support the running costs of the Fosstodon servers. Glad to see the last of those drop shipper ads and xenophobic garbage which that other platform has descended into.

@Extelec It's a hard choice as we built such a great community online there over the years. But I can't continue to support a platform run by a narcissistic boy child who appears to actively be stoking the fires of far right thuggery no matter how many valued social contacts it costs me.

@drfootleg I’ve had an account here for some time. I have been holding out in the other place because of the following and community, but yes, It may be time to seriously rethink this.

@drfootleg Don’t even look back. I deleted my account there in 2022 after 15 years. Most everyone I really cared about that I followed there are also here. Plus, lots of new, great people. I haven’t regretted it at all.
