@gleick arguing about his morality will go no where with the Rs. If you want to peel off some R support, hammer Hegseth on his total lack of experience. Even if he was an Eagle Scout, he doesn’t have the skills or experience to do the job.

Let 1 or 2 of the Ds push the morality issue. The rest should have just constantly drilled on the experience point. Make the Rs squirm to defend him on the merits of the job.
