Few months ago, I switched from #Firefox to #Vivaldi
Browser is not full Open-Source and is based on Chromium; nothing is perfect
But I decided to gave it a chance because of the page tiling functionality I needed at this time and it was the only one browser I found giving me this option.
Of course, having 2 or more Firefox windows side-by-side is possible but it's really not the same.
So, since I started to use it, I also stopped to use Firefox
I think I've used Firefox for the last ~20years.
I still continue to use it a t the office, I still like it for miscellaneous reason even with controversies debated in last years, but from home now I use Vivaldi instead.
There's a lot of stuff I like with Vivaldi, main one are:
I won't list all small things I never thought about before but that now I have under my keyboard/mouse it miss me when [at the office] I'm using another browser.
After, there's things I'm not fan but from the settings it's easy to hide/deactivate stuff I don't need.
The one thing that bothered me was, after using it form months and being really satisfied, I decided today to make a monthly donation (small one, 5.00eur/months, as I already donate for some other software/foundation) but it's not possible: this option require a Vivaldi account...
I already have too much account here and there and I don't want to create a new account just for that (and I don't need to have and account to user a browser)
Then I only did a one-time donation which can be made without account, better than nothing.
I'm not sure why @Vivaldi monthly donation require an account and one-time not?
