the ultimate dream

A mockup of the visuals for a version of Super Mario Bros. on the Apple II. This is not a running game (or even a running demo), but this image was edited in an Apple II emulator, and I have the .DSK file with the very simple editor I coded in BASIC just to draw this, and the BLOADable image file.

Am I the only one irked by the subtle gradient on YouTube's progress bar which makes it looks like the monitor has red color burn-in problems?

It looks like either an OLED that's ruined by constant use or a CRT in need of a serious degaussing. Both things send me shivers on a visceral level.
