Mastodon v4.2.0 has been installed! I wrote up a little post about some of the changes that I think people may care about. Give it a look if you have any interest.
One of the biggest changes you should be aware of are settings on the new Public profile > Privacy and reach tab regarding allowing your posts to show up in search results. If you want them to be included, you'll need to opt in.

Right now, the new full-text search features are not enabled on our server. This is due to it having some additional costs associated with it. We are hosted through masto.host and they allow the addition of ElasticSearch for an extra $5 a month for a server our size.
That would take our monthly costs from $19 to $24. Given that the server is paid for through donations, I thought it best to raise the question to you:
Should we add ElasticSearch for full-text search?
33% Yes, search is cool
67% No, I don't think it's worth it

@hybridhavoc do you know if the increased storage needs of the elastic search would also increase the costs of the hosting? Asking for my server since we also use masto.host 😋
