Föderation · Sa 17.06.2023 00:53:01 #Vivaldi on Android says it wonʼt work unless I enable Google services. Yet here I am doing everything I normally do on that browser, which Iʼve just moved to after years with Bromite. |

Föderation · Sa 17.06.2023 06:50:06 @jon @Vivaldi Hi Jon, it comes up on my notification screen. Unfortunately, this is the one screen from which I cannot grab a screenshot. It says Vivaldi needs Google services or something like that to run. I assume this is something left behind inside Chromium; Bromite didn’t show this. |

Föderation · Di 20.06.2023 22:16:42 @jackyan That message is not coming from the browser but rather from the system. Have you changed the Vivaldi app's default permissions? Does Vivaldi work at all despite that message showing up? What happens if you dismiss the notification? |
Föderation · Di 20.06.2023 22:19:38 @Vivaldi Thank you. Without looking it up, I wouldnʼt know how to change permissions. Vivaldi works fine, which is why the message is annoying. I dismiss it, it returns either later in the day or the next day. It doesnʼt happen on Bromite or earlier Chromium browsers Iʼve tried, though not sure if those other browsers were on this phone (they were a while back). |
Föderation · Di 20.06.2023 22:45:48 @jackyan It could be referring to some app permissions (like the ability to show push notifications). You can try disabling them to see if the error message still appears. |
