For what it's worth, XMPP is similarly capable, and only somewhat less efficient (it uses XML instead of a binary protocol).

I'm not sure why they need to plaster "New" over the latest versions icon, it looks the same, except more buggy.....

- AOL Instant Messenger
- Yahoo! Messenger
- ICQ
- XMPP… others
Is there such a beast that can connect to Slack, Teams and Zoom for example?

@stuartl This is a really good point - and I don't know that there is! There really SHOULD be. I'd actually be interested in something like that.
