It’s amazing how long some of these systems keep going. I recently heard that my old friend Fortran is still going strong in some physics and maths applications.

@lizardbill @khoji The commercial Hogan banking software is in COBOL, U.S. Bank uses it as non-legacy code AFAIK. Probably other banks do as well. So while some banks have moved away from COBOL, certainly not all of them.
