Föderation EN Sa 01.02.2025 01:23:33 Numerous houses on fire, several explosions reported. The crash location is less than a mile from Northeast Philadelphia airport, which is the main general aviation airport for the city. Terrible week for aviation in the US. |
Föderation EN Sa 01.02.2025 01:28:35 May have been a LIFEGUARD (medical transport) flight. |
Föderation EN Sa 01.02.2025 02:45:43 Conflicting reports on whether the plane carried 2 or 6 people (including a patient). Roosevelt Blvd and Cottman Ave, approximately where the crash occurred, is a working-class neighborhood about 3 miles south of Northeast Philadelphia airport, which is used mostly for general aviation (no scheduled flights), and in line with its runway 24. There's a midsized shopping mall there, but also many single- and two-family row houses in the immediate vicinity, at least several of which are on fire. |
Föderation EN Sa 01.02.2025 02:47:07 @mattblaze Yep, info at the time of things is always up in the air, so facts will come out as the situation settles. We know a plane crashed in an area with homes and a mall. |
