At least the hotel provides a computer and not just a QR code that links to a very special proprietary app for accessing the internet.

There is another side of digitisation in Germany where one is forced to use a (proprietary) app for using a service and there is no (analog) alternative to that. There is already a german word for that: "Digitalzwang" (digital enforcement)
