One of my least favorite #SEO tricks is when reporting by a site (like, say, #TheVerge) only ever has links to other pages on the same site, never to the things that they are discussing. I'm reading an article about the Hue ecosystem adding support for #Matter and there is not one link to Philips, just to other reporting on the Verge.

#ArsTechnica is a good example of how to to this well; in an article on Ozempic, they link to primary sources multiple times.
