Thanks for your comment and the links. A couple of points here.

First, note that my critique is not directed against the SWICG; the SWF is an independent foundation.

Second, while it's true that "AI" is not currently referenced in the SWF's mission statement or initial project goals, it's also true that the blog post I link to was published on the SWF's website, not one associated with the FOF initiative. Further, the post was written by one of the 3 core members of SWF. I find this to be sufficient cause to shoot off a warning flare.

It is certainly a direct statement of intent to involve LLMs more deeply into the AT protocol, even as the Bluesky community itself is largely as contemptuous of "AI" as the fedi community is. And considering the established technical leanings of all of the SWF core members - crypto, monetization, the proposal of ads in the fediverse - vigilance is clearly warranted
