@petergleick I called Chuck Schumer’s DC office today and got a recording saying “please call back during business hours”—it’s a 3 day weekend, so I guess that means Tues.
Then I called his local office and didn’t even get that much of a courtesy. “this number is not taking calls right now.” Click.

I’m less than thrilled.
