Ok, so I love the idea of .

So I’ve joined up on Pixelfed.social as peterjfullagar.

I certainly don’t claim to know exactly how the works, and I know that and Pixelfed (among others) can federate together. I’m still in the dark, really, about how it all works. But I’m there.

I’d like to put a direct link to my Mastodon account in my Pixelfed bio, but I just can’t seem to do it. Any tips?

Go to profile. you should see a gear symbol top right. Tap it.
There should be something like Edit. Tap it
Now you have your profile where you can put in your bio and your homepage

@peterjfullagar@social.vivaldi.net the easiest way is to follow your Pixelfed account like everyone else here in the fediverse.
If you post a picture there, it will appear in your masto timeline. Then simply share it further.

You don't have to link the two accounts, etc. Each can also stand on its own.
Ultimately, anyone can follow the Pixelfed account in the fediverse, regardless of which software they use.

By sharing your image, you also increase its visibility

However, Pixelfed will only show you posts if your Mastodon post also contains images.
Pixelfen only focuses on images in the Fediverse.

However, you can mention your Mastodon handle in the text 😉

@crossgolf_rebel Right … I think I'm slowly getting to grips with it all. I followed a different account of mine from Pixelfed, and could see it didn't show all of the posts - only one has an image, so that must be why.

@peterjfullagar@social.vivaldi.net Yes, pixelfed really only concentrates on images and the interactions with them.

For pure text messages, there are better tools such as Sharkey, IceShrimp etc.
