@cheeaun yes, I've read that too, but if there's any hint of it being installed into existing computers via an update, I'll want to know

@sarajw ah got it. I was thinking like it needs some special hardware to run everything on-device, but I guess there's still a chance to override that and force-enable it.
I'm running Win11 on virtual machine, so been waiting for it to appear (besides all the fancy ads in the Start menu) ðŸ«

@cheeaun somehow I don't get any start menu ads - but then I did configure it to be exactly how I like it, so I guess I hit the right setting to get rid of them!

@sarajw oh interesting, I had to read a bunch of blog posts on how to remove all the ads 😅

@cheeaun it might also be because I already subscribe to 365 family, if that's what the ads are for...?

@sarajw hmm maybe? I remember this article helps me the most https://www.howtogeek.com/how-to-disable-microsofts-ads-and-recommendations-in-windows-11/

@cheeaun oh that's a good list!
Whenever I get a fresh install of windows I tend to go down the settings and kill off anything that I dislike, so maybe I'd already hit a few of those.

@deirdrebeth @cheeaun well I'm hoping they'll have to recall Recall before long. It's a privacy nightmare, so many people will have so much information stolen!
