@tao I am not even 30 but I do enjoy our department's textbook selection. Every time I need to do a consultation, I try to see if I can eye a book to help me. I found a very nice (and thick) book which was an introduction to differential geometry; it basically starts by doing the classic theory of curves and surfaces but with the language of modern DG so you can get accustomed to all of its moving parts.
