I live here & I wish we could afford to leave. I'm ashamed to be American. I didn't vote for him. He makes me sick.

@stux I did move to the US. I truly loved it there, and 99% of the people I met. I am so glad that I returned to the UK though.

@stux I moved to Europe from the US in 2008. Even then I was happy to get out of a place with poisoned food, people carrying guns on the street and where I once broke a foot and had to mend it on my own because I couldn't afford a doctor.
Europe is incredible and it is time it realized it surpassed the US decades ago.

I am deeply ashamed & disgusted with what my nation has come to.

@stux I am sorry to say this has been building for many years, at least since the “trickle down economics” scam was sold back in the 80s, and really even before that. We now know the very real consequences when too much money is in the hands of very few people who are only looking after themselves. I suspect it’s going to be very, very hard to get out of this mess - I hope I am wrong.
