· Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 20:38:09 @killyourfm I've wanted to get an MP3 again for awhile now. I started collecting CDs last year and I've gathered a reasonable collection. I'm going to buy a disc drive to back them all up digitally. I'm going to burn blank CDs to keep in my car; I'm not sure what else I'll do afterwards. I've seen a few nifty iPod mods on Youtube. Ideally I would like to run Rockbox (https://www.rockbox.org/). DId you buy this secondhand or did you already own it? I haven't looked to see how much iPods are going for these days. |

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 20:40:51 @xavier_hm I modded it with a much larger battery, new front cover, and flash storage. I can't recommend this strongly enough, because it lasts FOREVER now and fits my entire music library (about 400GB, mostly lossless). Rockbox is a solid idea! You may also explore Plex/PlexAmp if you're feeling adventurous and want to essentially create your own Spotify. |

Idk how adding storage etc works on an iPod mobo. I didn't know Plex had an MP3 interface. That's really cool. |
