Certainly a CEO has a lot more power and protection than a regular employee.

The CEO's case is also different in that typically an individual is punished in order to maintain the status quo, whereas it seems that the assassination happened in protest of the status quo.

My argument is not that all three things are exactly the same. Just that they have some similarities, in an individual being punished/sacrificed because systemic change feels unreachable.
