In response to feedback, I've tweaked the Fedi.Tips guide to transferring your Mastodon account to another server:

Ich folge verschiedenen Hashtags, sehe aber nicht, wie ich die explizit aufrufen kann. Keine Liste oder ähnliches. Gibt es das nicht?

Würde gerne Konten und Hashtags in einer Liste haben. Bspw. #Köln und @koeln um direkt schauen zu können, was hier so passiert.

Since upgrading the router, I'm seeing no posts from anyone I follow. In the log I see:

app/workers/activitypub/delivery_worker.rb:64:in `block (2 levels) in perform_request'

The external IP may have changed, but GoDaddy has the right information, and the site is serving. When I do a dig @1.1.1.1 I see the correct IP.

How do I get out of this?

Wie föderiert #Mastodon eigentlich die Information über einen verifizierten Link?

Über die #Client-#API liefert #Mastodon im [fields]-Array neben [name] und [value] ein [verified_at], was null sein kann... oder einen TimeStamp enthält, z.B. "2019-11-10T10:31:10.744+00:00".

Frage ich aber einen Account direkt über seine URL ab und frage nach JSON, erhalte ich eine Struktur, wo dieses [verified_at] offenbar nicht enthalten ist.

Für die Felder (Name/Wert-Paare) ist ein [attachment]-Array enthalten. Diese liefert Felder wie [type] ("PropertyValue") sowie [name] und [value].

Und damit sind wir wieder bei meiner einleitenden Frage...

Da klaut n Vogel hier im #Fediverse einen Text aus einem Bildpost, und erklärt ohne Quellenangabe, dass er das Bild nicht einfach geteilt hat, weil es keine Bildbeschreibung hatte.

(Gibt es einen größeren Abgrund als diesen? Spießer und Blockwarte, die auch noch stolz ihre Urheberrechtsverletzung feiern; eigenwillig und schlimm)

This could end up showing a preview of this person's profile picture and bio on Bluesky without their consent.

Additionally, be careful about how the upcoming Quote Post feature could behave with Bluesky bridges.

Some of us don't want our information shared with commercial platforms like Bluesky, and have not consented to this bridge.

This practice can even endanger some Fediverse users.

If you have chosen to share your
own data with commercial platforms, make sure you leave the same choice to others.

This is important.
