Happy, that @iFixit is finally present in the Fediverse.

I always found it a bit strange, that a company that aimed to break through the stranglehold of Big Tech was so much in the pockets of exactly those in their online presence (Twitter, YouTube).

Thing is, you don't have to leave the Silos, you just have to add the open pastures as well. Sixteen lines of JavaScript (or 9 in Python) are all it takes to have your content shared more widely (see: POSSE).

Just sad they're on a gigaserver. But, hey, can't have it all, now, can we?
