@tsturm The GOP has spent every waking moment since FDR died trying to roll back every social program he and Democratic Congresses put in place. They've won enough elections simply saying labor union wages and taxes kill jobs to undo as much of the New Deal as they could.

LBJ won by such a huge margin in 1964 that he was able to get civil rights legislation and Medicare/Medicaid done. But nobody's ever undone Taft-Hartley.
