However, if you would like to screen who follows you, you can switch your account over to manual confirmation. On the manual setting, anyone who tries to follow you will appear as a follow request which you can confirm or reject. It can vary, some people are happy to get followers but are trying to screen out spammers etc. If they have requetsts switched on, you can often find out what their follower preferences are in their profile description. |
