As an experiment, have uploaded a public domain audiobook to PeerTube at:
https://fedi.video/w/8aVXe5QNUy6zEPzLPoNxTB
There are chapter markings in the timeline and in the description. If the timeline marks don't work for you, the description ones should work better.
Any kind of feedback or suggestions would be welcome!
Are audiobooks something you would want to see more of on PeerTube? Are there any particular public domain or creative commons audiobooks you would want to suggest?

@FediVideo
Would love them! I don't know anything about the licenses, though.

It's generally books by authors that died more than 70 years ago, but some modern authors will sometimes license their books more freely too. 🙂
There's a project called https://LibriVox.org that has volunteers reading public domain books, so that they can be freely distributed as audiobooks too.

@FediVideo do you know if it's possible to follow RSS feeds FROM #peertube ? That would be a killer feature, so my podcast subs, audio only, would show up in peertube. That would attract a lot of people to it ... it would then be an activity pub enabled podcast aggregator 🤷♂️

Hmm... I don't think so, it's not an RSS reader. 😦
However, you can follow RSS feeds from Friendica and they will show up in your normal feed just like Fedi accounts.
Also, you can use RSS Parrot to make Fedi accounts for RSS feeds including podcasts: https://rss-parrot.net, these accounts can be followed from Mastodon etc.

@FediTips yes, I've seen that, it's such a cool feature. As I was pointing out, that would be a cool killer app. thx
