There are lots of people they won’t go near Substack and I don’t like the idea of being on the platform but for a few people whose views I want to see.

If you put your content on one of these commercial platforms and it’s some bald garden, the content is not yours. The audience is not yours that is not a town square. And in an instant everything that you might’ve worked for or cared about, can be taken away from you or simply be censored into the ground.
