@Gustodon @dansup Can you give me the gist of your concern? I really want to be 100% on board with this loops pixelfed project as a FOSS ethical replacement for instagram. I'm thinking whatever might be necessary to make it work like that will take lots of eyes on these details and I think the developer @dansup has his heart in the right place and will care if there are details he might want to reconsider, especially during these critical initial conditions

@resl I want that, too. I was concerned about the language regarding ownership and distribution but I've just been told that that particular TOS is being reworked from a time-saving boilerplate.

@Gustodon @dansup he said he will fix it soon. he used some automatic generation for the ToS because he doesn't have a lot of time for that, but obviously the ToS are wrong and he said he will fix them.

@pteryx @Gustodon @dansup i see you are a wise person. i am sure you would be more than welcome to join his efforts and help him with handling some tasks, as he might be overwhelmed in the process of suddenly scaling up, due to very recent conjunction of events, namely Meta allegiance to Trump/Musk, ban of TikTok, and him being almost ready with 2 wonderful apps PixelFed and Loops, developed in the course of the last 7 years, all alone.
