Okay maybe not just NAT but as long as v4 continues to limp along the need to fix v6 implementations lacks urgency.

Counterpoint: every major player on the Internet regards their IPv4 address delegations as significant financial investments and encouraging deprecation of IPv4 would directly devalue those assets.

In short, the companies who are in a position to effect the change are disincentivied from doing so, regardless of technical matters. It doesn't just lack urgency; it is something they'll actively resist.

@khm @shufei I don’t see this as counterpoint but as a better explanation of the motives than I provided. I also agree with you. You have identified the major motivation that complements the minor motivation from my post.

Sorry, I meant that it was a counterpoint to 'lacks urgency' -- it's in fact actively opposed, not just low on the to-do list.
