I wish locking issues on #Github was not restricting users to vote on comments. This is bad for one reason from two aspects:

1. users cannot vote on features they think are essential for the project

2. maintainers will not see how much such feature is missed and required by their users.

I don't know if @forgejo have mimicked Github or not. I so far I have not find any issues that is locked on @Codeberg to confirm/reject this.

I think some flavor of #Markdown should be integrated into the default webapp of mastodon. It would enrich the users' experience with almost no extra overhead.

That said, I think these should not be allowed:
- adding images `` because it would bring things from outside of fediverse which can contain tracking and also can change on the fly without user's knowing
- adding hyperlinks `[](URL)`because of the reasons above and also it helps masking malicious links (e.g `[good.com](bad.com)`

The @matrix is moving away from Patreon. But the interesting part is that they are moving to Donorbox with minimum donation of £5 per month.

I personally find this limit unacceptable and even too high. Biw the question is, would you donate £5 or more to Matrix?

@matrix I'm a one of many people who is donating to your organization via Patreon. Since your latest post on Patreon is from August 2019, I sent you a message in May 2023 (5 months ago) on Patreon and asked if it is possible for you to restart posting something monthly or bimonthly.

So now after almost half a year, and 3 years of supporting your cause, the question have come down to: how much longer one should wait to get a reply (at least a simple reply out of courtesy)? 🤔
