The person on your home feed may be on a server that has "silenced" mastodon.social, which restricts how visible its posts are to that server. Mastodon.social is so huge that its moderators have had trouble keeping up with spammers etc. You might want to consider moving your account to a different server? 1/2 |

Föderation EN Fr 22.11.2024 11:00:12 If you transfer your account to a different server, you can take your followers, follows, blocks, mutes, lists, bookmarks and domain blocks with you. Your old account and old posts will redirect people to your new account if you move. There's a step by step guide to moving servers here: https://fedi.tips/transferring-your-mastodon-account-to-another-server/ (I know it seems a bit long, but I've tried to combine several processes into one guide so that it all gets done in one go.) 2/2 |

Föderation EN Fr 22.11.2024 11:35:19 Ahh.. okay... If your account gets locked by your own server's admin, then yes you would be cut off from your followers and follows. However, sometimes admins may decide to let you move your account elsewhere in which case you wouldn't be cut off from followers etc. It depends on why they might lock your account. Usually such an extreme punishment is if you break the rules of your server in a very bad way, that's why it's a good idea to read the rules when you join a server. |
