@mike we need to request admin permissions so when adding your account, click the cog at the end of the instance entry and enable "Admin". After adding the account, there should be an "Admin Dashboard" entry in the main menu!

Beware that Mastodon's Admin API is limited compared to what the web client can do so I wouldn't recommend it as a replacement for an instance as big and active as fosstodon.
