@mizblueprint @pluralistic I was just starting my architecture journey (which I later abandoned for visual communication), and it’s true, some profiles (probably even mine in at least some of its many iterations) were very messy. But it was so amazing to go around and see how everyone was expressing themselves, in a way that was personal and collective at the same time. And the music: I remember trying to match the style with the song. Basically MySpace was a collection of digital zines

@fleg @hypebot @pluralistic I always thought the worst nightmare for typographers were the illegible metal band logotypes (which I graphically loved though found them frustrating when I went to big festivals and was trying to read the posters to see who was playing were). Now that I think of it, MySpace was full of those bands’ profiles so I guess it makes sense 😂😊
