Föderation EN So 16.06.2024 15:48:16 I've reduced the content retention settings to 548 days from 730 days to start emptying the db and seeing effects. I believe posts older than 1.5 - 2 years are not really relevant anyway as we're basically just farting into the internet. I may reduce this temporarily to 365 days and shoot it back to 730 days later as I had gone a little crazy with adding relays a while ago and my database is close to 32GB right now. Föderation EN So 16.06.2024 15:51:46 @chiefgyk3d Yep, your server is only 19 months old, so having 730 days in your 'Content cache retention period' settings will have little to no impact. Even 548 days will have little impact since that is pretty much the number of days the server has been live. Finally, yes relays have exponentially inflated your database size. If you want to not have it growing at this rate, you should disable them. |

Föderation EN So 16.06.2024 15:56:01 @mastohost thank you for the amazing work, I'll tinker a little and responded to your email with a request to do the "tootctl status remove" I'll drop to 1 year content retention temporarily as I believe that's when I began becoming a little too relay crazy. |
