Föderation EN Mi 04.09.2024 15:18:39 I am not a fan of the algorithmic way of Bluesky versus Mastodon and the Fediverse. It’s feeling more like a Twitter clone than trying to be its own thing. It still feels incredibly centralized because federation and decentralization felt like lower priorities when they should have been the initial one. Otherwise you basically just repeat Twitter and a lot of their problems.

I mean yes technically Peertube is where videos should be for the Fediverse but I could at least post a video direct to my Mastodon. Again this place is still feeling like it’s unfinished and in beta. No video capability is problematic |

Föderation EN Mi 04.09.2024 15:31:44 @chiefgyk3d I think video is in their next big update. I think I prefer platforms that do a thing and do that thing well, rather than trying to be everything and all things; YMMV. Technically all of these things are unfinished and in beta though, right! 🙂 |
